Humanity’s Journey with God.
In this season, both in worship and bible study, we will explore the deep questions like: What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to hold fierce potential, strive for success and yet be self-aware enough to know there are all kinds of blues notes and bad days that resound loudly in our life? As human bearers of God’s DNA we are capable of making great good, and yet because we are human we too are capable of fostering harrowing evil in the world. In journeying through the Hebrew Bible texts this fall we ask: What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to laugh and cry, to love and hurt, to heal and kill—and yet strive to remain in the life-giving presence of our great God? This fall I want to invite you to become immersed in the story of God’s fantastic faithfulness in worship but not simply in the preaching moment, but in creative liturgy and well-planned powerful new music that moves the soul and inspires your faith.
